How do I modify my guitar head to fit new tuning machines?

I just bought a guitar head off of eBay and along with a new set of machine heads. However the tuners are a bit too big for the head. The head is off of a fender delux strat and the tuners are "f" 70's tuners. Is there some way that I can make the holes bigger so the tuners will fit?

If I was you , I'd get a set of Fender tuners that fit the neck otherwise you will have to redrill the neck. If the actual spindles don't fit through the holes , you'll have to make the holes bigger by drilling. I'm sure you would get a good price for those 70s tuners on ebay and get a set that fit for a reasonable price. I have 3 strats, one is 70s.
