Carved Instrument

Dentistry: If I have trouble in tooth carving, would I be able to cope with the rest of the course?

I've just recently started my degree and we've only done incisors, canines and the first premolar. I'm having trouble with all of them. My carved teeth look a bit weird. How do I improve my skill? And will it be hard for me to continue this course? I know there will be more things that involve hand skills in the future and now I'm afraid I won't be able to cope.

Thought I would have a look at what tooth carving means and what is required. This is what I found and I hope it is useful to you.

Anything worth doing often means a little extra effort. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes. Don't give up on a dream if you have worked hard to get where you are. Sometimes things click into place when you least expect it. What you need is a little faith in yourself and your own abilities. You applied and was accepted into the course, take that as a given that you have the ability to follow through on what you have chosen to do. Good luck.
